bridge to venice
i'm walking, walking along
on the bridge to venice with my best friend
walking, don't know how long
gotta keep on moving til we reach the end
gotta keep on moving til we reach the end
on the road in a land of cement
the place let me tell you
was boring as hell
born and raised
on pure discontent
no cash in our pockets
and nothing to sell
we slept in our cars
and we ate in our beds
we drank what we had
just to get out the lead
but the fuel that we had
was just good enough
to take us out where
we could not get off
i'm walking.....
when we left
we did not have a clue
just a notion that came
in a dream one night
when we get there
we'll know just what to do
but right now we're searching
for a path to the light
we tried the religions
we tried all the drugs
we tried to find peace
while we kept fighting thugs
but when we woke up at last
we just moved away
headed on out
had no reason to stay
i'm walking...
ditched the car
by the side of the road
and took off alone
under our own power
come so far
such a heavy load
i know we can make it
just a few more hours
you have to be lazy
to try not to try
you have to be crazy
to think you won't cry
so just keep moving forward
however you can
i'll see you in venice
when they strike up the band
i'm walking...

"Do you really think I care, What you read or what you wear, I want you to join together with the band, There's a million ways to laugh, And every one's a path, Come on and join together with the band."
