pick it up
if you see it lying by the side of the road
you might be thinking twice about it
after you go riding by but
if you go back there and check it again
it won't look the same, but don't let it fool you
pick it up and don't put it down
pick it up and don't be hanging around
pick it up and be on your way
pick it up and put the pedal to the floor
if you hear it flying thru the infinite void
you might just want to leave it there
hanging in the empty air but
if you reach out and pull it down to earth
it might be a drag, but don't let it stop you
pick it up...
if you took it from the sky and galloped away
you might get hit by holy lightning
before you get too far but
if you make it home and hold it in your hand
you might feel the flame, but don't let it burn you
pick it up...
