the drift
you can walk on the water
but when you fall right through
then you'll have to ride it out
do you think they remembered to put up a net
it doesn't take long
from your altitude
to fly all the way out of this room in
the bottom of the sky where you're going to
nothing has seemed
like forever yet
there's always a change
by now you should know, nothing is set in stone
but it feels so heavy to me
the habits you break will not set you free
no one's gonna tell you the good from the bad
but who's gonna cash in the chips that you had?
out of my element
into the old
i got me a life
i won't let it grow cold
well i knew it was true
when they said you were gone
the dogs came and took you away
ever since then
i been riding along
to the sunset of a brand new day
